Tease: This 53 year old boxer still has it, I’ll tell you who in ______ minutes
The guy from those Hangover movies that punched the other guy from those Hangover movies, Mike Tyson, still has it. The 53 year old boxer, who’s last fight was over fourteen years ago, posted a video where he was teaching some of his signature moves to MMA fighters. The video shows him doing a few explosive moves and combos and he looks like he hasn’t lost a step. Unfortunately, he didn’t show off his most famous move, biting Evander Holyfield’s ear off. (Additional Out) Maybe he’s looking for a role in the new film, Rocky 9 Why are We Still Making These.
Tease: This country just unveiled a new stealth attack helicopter that looks a lot like a UFO. I’ll tell you who in ______ minutes
The country that we owe a lot of money to, China, just released pictures of their new military helicopter that looks a lot like a UFO. The disk-shaped helicopter flies up to 400 miles per hour and fires missiles. Most uniquely though, it doesn’t have a traditional rotor blade or tail rotor. Instead, it has a sixteen-foot-wide rotor under the aircraft for vertical lift and ducts on the side for propulsion and maneuverability. It will make it’s maiden voyage in 2020, provided we still have a planet (Additional out) So, basically it’s a really expensive flying lawn mower.
Tease: Coming up at ______ I’ll tell you which athlete just turned down a 4 year 80 million dollar deal.
Would you turn down a 20 million dollar per year salary? That’s exactly what NBA swingman Jaylen Brown just did. The six foot seven, former 3rd overall pick, declined the Celtics 4 year, 80 million-dollar contract extension much to the bewilderment of fans on the internet. Not bad money for a guy who averaged just 13 points last year. But in his defense that’s a mere $243,902 per game.
Tease: What did a youth football coach do to land in hot water? A) Start his son at QB, B) Wear those short shorts from the 90’s C) Score too many points. I’ll tell you coming up at ________
As if participation trophies weren’t enough, now we’re penalizing youth football coaches for scoring too many points. A Philadelphia youth coach is facing a possible five hundred dollar fine and two game suspension for beating a team 36 to nothing. To avoid a stupid rule that prevents teams from winning by more than 30 points he put in all of his second stringers, but the backups still scored. How are we supposed to teach our kids to make it in the real world if we never let them get demolished in sports. (Additional out) On a brighter note, I hear the Redskins are hiring.
Phone Topic: A Florida Man has eaten nothing but mac and cheese for seventeen straight years….. That’s one way to save on toilet paper. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Contest Tease: Which fast food chain has the most loyal following? The correct answer wins _______ coming up at ___________
[Contest setup] According to Foursquare’s latest QSR loyalty index, which fast food chain has the most loyal customers. By the way I threw out Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, because they’re not really fast food places.
A: Chick-fil-a
B: Sonic
C: McDonald’s
Answer: C, the home of the happy meal and that creepy clown mascot, McDonald’s still has the most loyal customers. Followed by Sonic Drive-In, Subway, Chick-fil-a, Dairy Queen and Whataburger. Mickey-D’s won because although we act like we don’t eat there, we all secretly love it.
