Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, more boosters recommended for authorization

FDA advisers voted to recommend emergency authorization of a Moderna vaccine booster for those at high risk of Covid-19. The same advisers are set to meet today to consider authorizing a booster dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. They’ll also discuss whether a mix-and-match strategy of using a booster from a difference vaccine maker is safe and beneficial. Which is good because I’m pretty sure people are already doing that. (Additional Out) No word on whether they’ll ask Nicki Minaj’s cousin’s friend’s opinion.

Tease: In ______ minutes, this actor wants fans to stop talking about his body

Jonah Hill wants fans to stop talking about his body. The 37-year-old Oscar-nominated actor took to his Instagram page to address fans commenting on his weight loss saying ‘I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body. Good or bad I want to politely let you know it’s not helpful and doesn’t feel good. Much respect.’ As a general rule you should never read internet comments, it rarely goes well. (Additional Out) Which makes sense because when you tell people ‘You look great now’ what they hear is ‘you used to look terrible.’

Tease: Coming up at _____, McDonald’s tests this new healthy option in select cities

The McPlant burger will soon be available in a few select US cities. A year after announcing plans to introduce the McPlant burger, McDonald’s is ready to test it out. Starting November 3rd the McPlant will be available at McDonald’s restaurants in El Segundo and Manhattan Beach, California, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Irving and Carollton, Texas, and Jennings and Lake Charles, Louisiana. Because I’m sure there are tons of vegetarians in Texas and Louisiana. (Additional out) So I guess the Hamburglar approves.

Tease: In _____ minutes, woman narrowly missed by a meteorite

A Canadian woman is lucky to be alive after a meteorite crashed through her roof and into her bed, landing just inches from her head. A loud bang and showering debris awoke Ruth Hamilton recently. The resident of Golden, British Columbia then found a space rock the size of a melon lodged between her pillows. Hamilton has sent the rock to scientists for examination, but would like to keep it as a souvenir when they’re done. Unless of course it turns out to be a Boeing bomb, IE frozen poop from an airplane. (Additional out) Good luck explaining that to your insurance company.
