Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the DOJ strikes back at hackers

The Department of Justice confirmed that they’ve seized back over half of the ransom paid by the Colonial Pipeline. A new team of feds within the DOJ hacked the Russian based hacking group Darkside and recovered $2.3 million of the 4.4 million dollar ransom the gas pipeline owners paid. Plus, we left a scathing Yelp review. (Additional Out) Proof that our nerds are just as good as their nerds.

Tease: In ______ minutes, scientists discover a massive one of these

Scientists confirmed the discovery of Australia’s largest dinosaur that was two stories tall and a basketball court long. ‘Cooper’ whose scientific name is Australotitan Coopernesis, is estimated to have walked the Earth over 90 million years ago. It was a titanosaur, a plant eating species that reached 21.3 feet in height and 98.4 feet in length. So like most vegans, it looked down on everyone else. (Additional Out) I still don’t understand how they can tell all of that from a couple of leg bones.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this state approved joints for jabs

Washington state approved the ‘joint for jabs’ Covid-19 vaccination incentive program. Marijuana dispensaries in Washington are getting the go-ahead to hand out a free joint to customers who get vaccinated at in store clinics. The program will run through July 12th and only one complimentary joint per customer is allowed. I guess that’s one way to offset any side effects. (Additional out) So now depending on where you live the incentives include money, guns, trucks, beer and weed, if only the forefathers could see us now.

Tease: In _____ minutes, a new poll shows Americans are getting back to normal

According to a new Gallup poll only one in four people are still mostly isolating in their home. That’s down from more than 75 percent back in April of 2020. That’s yet another sign that things are returning to normal as the pandemic wanes here in America. So now we’ll all have to come up with other excuses for skipping people’s weddings. (Additional out) Or a sign that we’ve all run out of shows to stream.

Phone Topic/Web Poll A new survey revealed the most-hated houseguest faux pas everyone should avoid. At the top of the list, wiping your hands on someone’s sofa, putting your feet up on their furniture, not taking your shoes off before you enter, breaking wind in their house or going number 2 in the host’s bathroom. What do you think, what’s the worst houseguest habit?
