Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, we have a new world’s richest man

Elon Musk is now the world’s richest man. The tech mogul edged past Amazon founder Jeff Bezos after a 6% rise in Tesla shares yesterday lifted the CEO’s stock holdings and options by $10 billion. Elon Musk now has a net worth of about $191 billion. So yesterday I worked a full day in my pajamas and he made ten billion dollars, sounds about right. (Additional out) But you know what they say, ‘Money can’t buy happiness’, oh, I’m sorry, I’m being told that’s no longer true, ‘During a global pandemic money can buy happiness.’

Tease: In ______ minutes, some good Covid-19 news

A new study offers early evidence that Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine might be effective against the two new coronavirus variants. The new strains began in the UK and South Africa but have now cropped up across the globe. Scientists believed the vaccines would likely work on them but this study shows the first evidence of that. Good news for us, great news for anyone who owns Pfizer stock. (Additional out) So 2021 may have gotten off to a rocky start, but it’s trying to turn it around.

Tease: Coming up at _____, one guy's butt-dial lands him and his buddy in jail

Two unlucky burglars have been arrested in the UK after accidentally pocket-dialing police during their crime. An officer in Staffordshire, central England, likened the them to the ill-fated crooks in the movie “Home Alone.” He said one of the pair mistakenly sat on his phone ringing 999, the UK’s emergency number, allowing officers to hear the crime in progress. Why would you be sitting during a burglary anyway, you don’t take a break mid-robbery. (Additional out) So the stupid criminal of the week award goes to the UK’s ‘Butt-dial burglars’.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this star NFL QB and his team appear to be at odds

Deshaun Watson might want out of Houston. According to reports the Texans’ QB isn’t picking up phone calls from the team because he’s bothered by not being included in their hiring process. Watson offered input on potential GM candidates, but the Texans neither considered, or consulted with, those endorsed by their franchise QB. Rumors are also swirling that Watson may request a trade. Probably not a good idea to ghost the team that paid you 39 million to win 4 games this season. (Additional Out) This is how it starts, first they stop taking your calls, then they change their Facebook status, and next thing you know you’re swiping right on a mediocre free agent.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: David Hasselhoff is auctioning off the KITT car from ‘Knight Rider’. Fans of the 80s show will remember KITT as the talking black Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The bid currently sits at $475,000. What do you think, if you could own any iconic TV show car what would it be? KITT, the ‘General Lee” from Dukes of Hazzard, the A-Team van, the ‘Munster Koach’, 1955 Batmobile, Miami Vice Ferrari Daytona Spyder, Starsky & Hutch’s Ford Gran Torino, Magnum PI’s Ferrari 308, or something else?
