Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, this popular podcaster tests positive

Joe Rogan has Covid-19 and he’s taking unproven deworming medicine Ivermectin to treat it. The popular podcaster has used his platform to question vaccines since they came out last year. Ivermectin is an anti-parasite pill mainly used to deworm horses and cows. Calls to poison control centers about the drug have risen fivefold since July. So, he won’t take an FDA approved vaccine, but he’ll take a random drug for cows he bought online, that makes sense. (Additional Out) ‘This is poison control, unless you’re a talking horse, stop taking the deworming drug the podcaster told you about.’

Tease: In ______ minutes, what it’ll cost you to buy the world’s biggest Triceratops skeleton

If you have 1.4 to 1.7 million to spare you could own the world’s largest Triceratops fossils. That’s how much the Triceratops skeleton dubbed Big John is expected to fetch when it’s auctioned off October 21st in Paris. Big John is 6 foot 7 inches wide, 8 foot 7 inches long and over 66 million years old. And now it will spend eternity in some rich guys foyer. (Additional Out) Nah, call me when you’ve got a T-Rex, I’m not dropping one and a half mil on an herbivore.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the Taliban threw a parade

The Taliban threw a parade in Afghanistan’s second-largest city to show off their newly seized American-made military equipment. In videos posted on social media, the militants waved from Humvees and armored vehicles while others posed for photos in the cockpits of helicopters. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said he wasn’t concerned because the US had deactivated all the gear abandoned at the airport adding, ‘They can inspect all they want, but they can’t fly them.’ Unless they watch a YouTube tutorial on how to activate them. (Additional) It’s still not a good look when our tax dollar funded equipment is being used to boost the Taliban’s social media game.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this heavily anticipated movie has been pushed back again

We’ll have to wait even longer to watch Top Gun: Maverick. The Hollywood Reporter says that Paramount has pushed back the sequel to the 1986 Tom Cruise film to May 27th, 2022 instead of this Thansgiving due to concerns over the surge from the Delta variant. Negative ghost rider the pandemic isn’t over yet. (Additional out) Meaning I’ll have to wait at least another four months before being disappointed by another sequel.
