Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the final straw for this NFL head coach

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has resigned after more offensive emails were revealed from when he worked as an ESPN analyst. Just days after reports of his emails from ten years prior containing racial slurs, more emails emerged showing homophobic and misogynistic language. Gruden was 4 years into a 10-year, $100 million dollar deal. In a statement issued by the team Gruden said, I love the Raiders and do not want to be a distraction’ adding ‘I’m sorry, I never meant to hurt anyone.’ Something tells me there’s a lot of NFL coaches clearing out their sent boxes today. (Additional Out) Including Frank Caliendo who lost one of his best impressions.

Tease: In ______ minutes, this state just banned ALL Covid vaccine business mandates

Businesses in Texas are being told not to enforce any Covid vaccine mandates. Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order yesterday saying that while the vaccine is safe and effective ‘it should be voluntary.’ This comes as federal rules are about to begin for companies with more than 100 workers. American and Southwest Airlines are based in Texas and have said they will comply with the new federal mandate. I assume they’re confident that when Matthew McConaughey takes over, he’ll reverse it. (Additional Out) Because last time I checked their planes fly to other places besides Texas.

Tease: Coming up at _____, gas prices continue to rise

The national average price for gasoline hit a seven-year high of $3.27 a gallon yesterday, up 7 cents in the past week along. Now that the world has reopened energy demand is back but the supply hasn’t kept up. Unfortunately, the prices are likely to go up further due to this global energy crisis. Wait your turn energy, we have no bandwidth for another global crisis yet. (Additional out) As we inch closer to the Mad Max phase of human existence.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this show's second longest winning streak has come to an end

Matt Amodio’s Jeopardy! streak has come to an end. The Yale graduate student ended his run last night with 38 straight wins. Amodio racked up more than 1.5 million-dollars and correctly answered 1,299 correct clues along the way. It’s the second longest streak in Jeopardy! history behind Ken Jennings 74-game winning streak. Meaning Matt was on the show 35 more times than Mike Richards hosted. (Additional out) I’ll take people you don’t want to invite to game night for $1,000 Mayim.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos defends Dave Chappelle and his right to ‘artistic freedom’ in a letter to his staff. Dave has come under fire for his newest stand-up special The Closer over backlash to jokes he made about the LGTBQ community. The CEO’s statement comes after Dear White People executive producer Jaclyn Moore said she would be boycotting working with the streamer while organizations such as The National Black Justice Coalition and GLAAD have called for Netflix to take it down. What do you think, did Chapelle go to far?
