Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, some good and bad virus news

We added a record 121,000+ Covid cases yesterday here in the US breaking the record reported yesterday. On a brighter note a new study shows that children infected with the virus appear to clear the infection faster than adults. Also, a new nasal spray that blocks the virus has shown some good early results on ferrets. If it works in humans, it could be a new way to fight the pandemic with a daily spritz up the nose. I’m in, but do I do it before or after my daily box of wine? (Additional out) Marking the first time I’m sad that I’m not a child or a ferret.

Tease: In ______ minutes, I’ll tell you how many inhabitable planets there are in our galaxy

There are as many as 300 million potentially habitable planets in our galaxy. That’s according to a team of astronomers from around the world who pored over the data from NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope, which spent nine years on a planet-hunting mission. Probably not a good sign that scientists are spending so much time and energy trying to find other planets we could live on. (Additional out) After the year we’ve had I say we load up the spacecrafts, pick the one with the best beaches and get the heck out of here.

Tease: Coming up at _____, how to get a free reusable Starbucks holiday cup

Starbucks is giving away a free reusable version of their holiday cups today to customers who order a seasonal drink. Some of this year’s seasonal drinks include peppermint mocha, toasted white chocolate mocha, caramel brulee latte, eggnog latte and more. The company revealed their holiday cups yesterday, head to our website to see them. Or just check social media where people will no doubt be irrationally outraged by one of them. (Additional Out) As a way to take your mind off the election for five minutes.

Tease: In _____ minutes, when the next NBA season will start

The NBA tentatively plans to start their new season on December 22nd. The league and its players association reportedly came to an agreement last night on a reduced 72 game season beginning on December 22nd. The NBA draft is November 18th and training camps will open on December 1st. I’m assuming Lebron told them to call him when the playoffs start. (Additional Out) I’m guessing roughly the same time football season will be canceled.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: The ‘explosive’ Bachelorette plot twist host Chris Harrison has been teasing was finally revealed last night. Clare Crawley decided to leave the show because her and Dale Moss are engaged. Tayshia Adams has taken over as the new Bachelorette. What do you think, were you shocked by last night’s Bachelorette bombshell?
