Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, last night’s big winner at the AMAs

Taylor Swift won big at the AMAs last night. Swift took the top prize of Artist of the Year, along with music video of the year for “Cardigan” and favorite female pop artist. She now holds the record for most American Music Award career wins by a single artist with 32. So, at this point she’s basically using AMAs as door stops at home. (Additional out) Roughly one for each of her cats I’m assuming she names after exes.

Tease: In ______ minutes, yet another vaccine shows promising results

AstraZeneca says its new vaccine is about 70% effective, with one of the dosing regimens showing an efficacy of 90%. This vaccine, developed with the University of Oxford, is the third to show promising results. Also, Regeneron received an emergency use authorization by the FDA over weekend. Regeneron was the experimental antibody cocktail given to President Trump during his bout with the virus. In a related story I developed an experimental cocktail over the weekend that is 90% effective at making the news easier to watch. (Additional out) It’s a pretty safe bet you’re going to get approved when your drug helps cure the President.

Tease: Coming up at _____, some of the restaurants offering full blown Thanksgiving meals to go

Cracker Barrel and Denny’s are just a few of the restaurants offering full blown Thanksgiving meals. With health experts warning against traditional large Thanksgiving get-togethers, many restaurants have stepped up this year. See the full list on our website but a few others include Bob Evans and Boston Market. Grocery stores like Kroger and Whole Foods also have ready to go Thanksgiving meals. Perfect for all of us who have no idea how to cook a Thanksgiving meal because we always let mom do all the work. (Additional Out) So there are multiple alternatives for getting your tryptophan fix this year.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Canadian officials warn drivers not to let moose do this to their cars

Don’t let moose lick your car. That’s the warning Canadian officials are giving motorists. Allowing moose to lick the salt off your car gets them habituated to being around cars, which is bad for the animals and drivers. Moose are apparently obsessed with salt and they recently realized they can get it from road salt that splashes onto cars. So, if you ever see a moose approaching your car simply drive away. Whatever you do don’t get out and try to pet it, unlike cartoon moose, real moose can be jerks. (Additional Out) Then yell at Bullwinkle to fulfill his creepy salt fetish elsewhere.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: There are two major lottery drawings this week. The jackpot in tomorrow’s Mega Millions drawing is worth 200 million dollars and there’s a Powerball drawing on Wednesday for 202 million. If you won two hundred million in the lottery would you take the twenty-year payout or the smaller, up-front cash option?
