Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, what the Amazon MGM merger will add to Prime

Rocky, James Bond and more will be added to Amazon Prime following Amazon’s $8.45 billion dollar merger with MGM. Amazon’s acquisition of the 97 year old studio means they’ll now own the company’s 4,000 movies and 17,000 TV shows in its catalog. That should allow Amazon a way to supercharge its Prime Video service with a slew of well-known entertainment titles. Meaning maybe soon Prime will add more than one or two shows a month. (Additional Out) Just the latest step in Jeff Bezos’ plan for world domination.

Tease: In ______ minutes, how long immunity lasts according to new studies

Covid immunity could last a year or longer according to two new studies. That applies to people who’ve been infected or vaccinated. Health experts initially thought immunity would last six months or more but the new studies suggest it should last at least a year and possibly even a lifetime. Similar to roughly 50% of marriages. (Additional Out) At least until the next study contradicts that.

Tease: Coming up at _____, what a Sixers fan did to get ejected last night

A Sixers fan was ejected after dumping popcorn on Russell Westbrook’s head. During the fourth quarter of game two between the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers last night, Westbrook had to leave with an ankle injury. While in the tunnel a fan threw popcorn at him and Russ was so angry security had to hold him back from going into the stands. Just Philly fans continuing their long-standing tradition of being terrible. (Additional out) A bold move considering that fan likely paid forty bucks for that popcorn.

Tease: In _____ minutes, how scientists are using electricity to make it rain

Scientists are zapping clouds with electricity to make rain. The United Arab Emirates, that receive just four inches of rainfall a year, have been funding science projects around the world to try and make rain. One of those involves a group of UK scientists who are using drones to charge droplets in clouds making them more likely to fall as rain. And I’m sure there won’t be any negative impacts to science literally controlling the weather. (Additional out) Proving that in the future everything will be on demand, even the weather.
