Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, what scientists did to restore a man’s sight

Scientists partially restored the sight of a blind man using gene therapy. The 58-year-old French man has been blind for more than 40 years. A few months after receiving an innovative treatment using genetic engineering and light-activated therapy, he can now recognize, count, locate and touch different objects. Plus, since France has universal healthcare, the first thing he’ll see won’t be a huge medical bill. (Additional Out) Nice work science, you’re on a roll!

Tease: In ______ minutes, how much the viral ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ video sold for as an NFT

Someone paid $760,999 for the classic ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ video as an NFT. Unfortunately, that means the funny clip featuring a kid with an adorable British accent could vanish from YouTube forever. Although it was still on there as of this morning. Charlie bit my finger has been watched over 883 million times on YouTube. At least 200 of those views are me. (Additional Out) Proving my long held theory that everything’s funnier in a British accent.

Tease: Coming up at _____, what’s new on Netflix in June

Lupin, Fatherhood and Sweet Tooth are just a few of the new movies and series set to debut on Netflix in June. See the full list on our website. Lupin is a French crime drama in its 2nd season, Fatherhood is a tearjerker about a father losing his wife starring Kevin Hart and Sweet Tooth is a comic adaptation about a half-human, half-deer boy making his way through a post-apocalyptic landscape. So that’s a maybe, a yes and a pass for me. (Additional out) Which I believe is based on a dream I had that night I accidentally took too much Nyquil.

Tease: In _____ minutes, strange new advice from the CDC about ducks and chickens

The CDC has warned Americans not to cuddle or kiss pet chickens or ducks after recent salmonella outbreaks. The outbreak associated with backyard poultry has already made at least 97 people ill in 28 states. This is the third time in three years the CDC has had to issue a warning about kissing and cuddling chickens and ducks. Raising the important question, exactly how many Americans are walking around making out with chickens? (Additional out) I knew one day my all beef diet would pay off.
