Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, more good Covid news

Average Covid-19 case numbers in the US are the lowest they’ve been in nearly a year. Also, case tallies are down in all 50 states. That’s a good sign vaccination efforts are working, even with demand slowing across the country. About 48% of the US population has gotten at least one dose. I never realized how much I missed seeing the bottom of people’s faces. (Additional Out) So, soon we’ll be able to stop purelling our hands 100 times a day.

Tease: In ______ minutes, the new haircut trend that’s popular across genders

Wolf cuts are this year’s biggest haircut trend. This hairdo is recognizable by its voluminous crown, which swiftly tapers into wispy layers. It’s the latest Gen Z beauty trend that’s taking social media by storm. Popular across genders, the wolf cut originated in the salons of South Korea and takes its name from the wild, untamed look the layers create that resemble the fur of its namesake. Basically, it’s like a shag mullet. (Additional Out) You know we’re running low on new haircut ideas when we’re just emulating random wild animals.

Tease: Coming up at _____, another guy at a gender reveal party with a terrible idea

A New Hampshire man who detonated 80 pounds of explosives and a gender reveal party has been charged with disorderly conduct. Police say Anthony Spinelli bought and detonated 80 pounds of Tannerite as part of a recent gender reveal party. The explosion was so large it triggered tremors that caused neighbors to believe they were in an earthquake. This is why you don’t let guys plan a gender reveal party. (Additional out) Something tells me Anthony’s gonna be a wonderful parent.

Tease: In _____ minutes, who Pro Football Focus ranks as the number one QB in the NFL

Patrick Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL according to Pro Football Focus. PFF ranked all 32 NFL team's starting QBs ahead of the season and Kansas City’s Mahomes came in at number one followed by Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson. The Bronco’s Drew Lock came in last at number 32. Not a good sign for the few remaining Bronco’s fans.  (Additional out). I know Mahomes won a Super Bowl and he can throw side-arm no look passes, but I can’t root for anyone who puts ketchup on a steak.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: A recent survey revealed that 7% of men are so deluded that they think they could take a grizzly bear in a fight where they are unarmed. Almost as astounding, 8% say they could beat up a full-grown lion and 9% think they’d win against an elephant or a gorilla. What do you think, what’s the largest animal you could take in a fight?
