Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, some good Covid news

The US has finally turned the corner on the pandemic, experts say. Adding if more Americans get vaccinated we could see a big drop in Covid-19 cases and deaths this summer. Although vaccine demand is falling, more than 34% of the US population is fully vaccinated. Health experts say the summer is going to be closer to normal than we’ve had in a very long while. So long I’ve kind of forgotten what normal looks like. (Additional out) Which is great, but I probably need a few weeks of intense training to get my social skills back up to par.

Tease: In ______ minutes, Elon Musk’s big SNL reveal

Tech billionaire Elon Musk revealed he has Aspergers on SNL this weekend. The world’s richest man hosted the show along with musical guest Miley Cryus. Although ratings spiked, the reviews were mixed with some calling his appearances in sketches self-deprecating and others calling them self-aggrandizing. But he did manage to work in several plugs for his pretend currency Dogecoin. (Additional Out) But mixed reviews are a step up for SNL lately.

Tease: Coming up at _____, Medina Spirit’s derby win is in doubt

Medina Spirit failed a post-race drug test putting his Kentucky Derby win in jeopardy. Trainer Bob Baffert revealed that Medina Spirit tested positive for elevated levels of betamethasone, a drug used for joint pain. Baffert denied that the horse had been treated with the drug but it had more than double the legal threshold. So like Sosa and McGuire he may have an asterisk by his name now. (Additional out) I can relate, after the Kentucky Derby I tested positive for double the legal threshold for mint juleps.

Tease: In _____ minutes, America's most popular baby names in 2020

Olivia and Liam were America’s most popular baby names in 2020. According to the Social Security Administration’s annual list, the top three most popular male and female names remained the same for a second year in a row. Olivia, Emma and Ava were the top 3 names for baby girls. Liam, Noah and Oliver were the most popular for boys. Henry cracked the top ten for the first time in over a century. As usual the least popular names are all names that rhyme with body parts or bodily functions. (Additional out) I guess it’s understandable that it takes a while to bounce back after several guys with your name chop off their wife’s heads.
