Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, Biden sanctions this country

The Biden administration has unleashed sanctions on Russia for poisoning and imprisoning opposition leader Alexey Navalny. Among others the sanctions target the FSB, Russia’s security service, who the US Intelligence community have determined poisoned Navalny in August. Navalny was detained in mid-January after returning to Russia. So, it looks like the White House will continue to take a hard stance against countries not named Saudi Arabia. (Additional out) Because here in America we just talk about jailing our political opponents, we don’t actually do it.

Tease: In ______ minutes, how a cat caused an emergency landing

An ‘angry’ cat attacked a pilot forcing the plane to make an emergency landing. They were 30 minutes into the flight to Qatar when the loose cat suddenly emerged in the cockpit and went on a rampage attacking the pilot and resisting attempts to catch it. The whole scene led the pilot to turn around and land so they could safely remove the feline passenger. I’m sure his pilot buddies won’t tease him at all for being hijacked by a housecat. (Additional out) Says a little bit about cockpit security that a housecat can just casually wander in and ground a plane.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the Disney CEO’s prediction about the future of movies

The Disney CEO suggested there’s no ‘going back’ to pre-covid film releases. During a conference Q&A Bob Chapek said he thinks the experimentation his studio and others in Hollywood are doing with releasing movies in theaters and on streaming platforms simultaneously during the pandemic will permanently change the movie business. Which is sad, I miss listening to people eat popcorn, talk throughout the movie and missing important scenes because I downed a 72-ounce soda. (Additional out) Which would’ve happened in a few years anyway as we all look for less reasons to leave the house.

Tease: In _____ minutes, from Fresh Prince to President?

Will Smith hinted at possibly running for public office. The movie star mentioned it during a recent interview with director Jon Favreau. Smith said he ‘believes in the possibility of harmony’ and that could lead him to the political arena ‘at some point’. But, he said his wife Jada doesn’t like the idea. I’m in as long as he chooses DJ Jazzy Jeff as his running mate. (Additional out) And as all married men know, when you’re wife is vehemently against something there’s a 99.9% chance she’s right.
