Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, new info on vaccines for pregnant women

New research shows the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are effective in pregnant and lactating women. Health officials had been hesitant to recommend Covid-19 vaccinations to expecting and new mothers until more data had been collected. The research also found that they can pass protective antibodies to their newborns. Or, I’m assuming, creepy guys who buy breastmilk on the internet. (Additional Out) The new research also confirmed that new dads are still useless.

Tease: In ______ minutes, the world gets its first taste of space wine

A group of French wine connoisseurs became the first people in the world to sample and review wine that spent a year in space. Experts in Bordeaux analyzed the contents of a 2000 bottle of Chateau Petrus Merlot, one of 12 taken to space on a SpaceX capsule, alongside another glass from a bottle that had stayed on earth. The space wine supposedly tasted ‘two to three years older’ and different ‘in both color and aromatics.’ In other words, my plans for a moon vineyard aren’t that crazy after all. (Additional out) Yet another reason I’m not an astronaut, because I’m confident none of those twelve bottles would’ve made it back to earth.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the fight over voting rights in Georgia continues

Police arrested a Georgia lawmaker as the governor signed new limits on voting. State Rep. Park Cannon was placed in handcuffs and escorted to jail for knocking on the door of Gov. Brian Kemp’s office during his remarks after signing into law a sweeping Republican-sponsored overhaul of state elections. She was released by 11pm last night. I’m assuming after Georgia officials went on social media. (Additional out) Guess we know who Georgia’s next Governor will be.

Tease: In _____ minutes, a new 3-wheel electric car that goes 0 to 60 in 1.8 seconds

The new 3-wheel Daymak Spiritus Ultimate electric vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.8 seconds. It will run you $149,000, has a 197-horsepower electric motor and weighs just 350 pounds. The manufacturer describes it as a ‘go kart loaded with features’. Daymak does make a cheaper version of the Spiritus for just $19,995 but it only goes from 0 to 60 in 6.9 seconds. Basically, it’s like the Dale, but it actually runs. (Additional out) Perfect for anyone having a mid-life crisis who cares about the environment.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: Pepsi is releasing a soda nobody asked for, Pepsi Peeps. Pepsi has teamed up with the candymaker to produce a new soda infused with marshmallow flavor. What do you think, would you drink Pepsi Peeps? Also, do you ever do your own soda combinations and what’s your favorite? Here’s a few I found online, Mezzo Mix which is Coke and orange soda, Cherry Sundae made of Sprite Cherry and Sprite Vanilla and Rasparilla made by combining Barq’s Root Beer and Fanta Raspberry.
