Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, a game changer for college athletes

A major change for the NCAA. In a unanimous ruling yesterday, the Supreme Court said that the NCAA, which governs college sports, could not prohibit student-athletes from receiving modest, education-related payments. The decision doesn’t mean college players can suddenly receive big salaries, but it opens the door for broader changes. ‘Way ahead of you’ said Alabama and SMU donors. (Additional Out) Meaning soon someone will make as much as Shaq did playing in college.

Tease: In ______ minutes, even Elephants like the pop in

A wild Asian elephant paid an unexpected visit to homeowners in Thailand last weekend. The couple were asleep when a noise from inside the kitchen woke them up. When they rushed downstairs they saw an elephant poking its head into their kitchen through a hole in the wall. Plus, it’s the second time its happened to them in a month. After two elephant home invasions in thirty days it’s probably time to move. (Additional Out) ‘Go back to bed honey, it’s just a wild elephant again.’

Tease: Coming up at _____, good news for coffee drinkers

Drinking coffee might be good for you after all. A new study says that drinking up to three or for cups of coffee, of any type, cuts the risk of liver problems. Coffee drinkers are 49% less likely to die from chronic liver disease than non-coffee drinkers. Unless of course you take your coffee the way my aunt Carol does, with a few shots of Irish Whiskey in it. (Additional Out) But twice as likely to yell at their coworkers if they haven’t had their morning coffee yet.

Brendan Fraser’s rare appearance over the weekend got the internet talking. The 52-year-old Mummy and George of the Jungle star appeared on the red carpet looking way different than he had in any of those previous films. Fans are speculating the transformation has to do with his upcoming role as a 600-pound, reclusive teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter. That or he simply ate like the rest of us during quarantine. (Additional out) Mostly I’m just shocked that anyone still puts him in a movie.
