Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, why Scarlett Johansson is suing Disney

Scarlett Johansson is suing Disney for the simultaneous release of Black Widow online and in theaters. The actress filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday alleging that Disney breached their contract by releasing the highly anticipated Marvel film on its streaming service Disney Plus. The suit alleges that Johansson agreed that her salary for the film would be based, in a large part, on the film’s box office hall. Time for Mickey to break her off a piece of that online revenue. (Additional Out) Looks like someone didn’t read the fine print.

American swimmers added three more medals, two silver and one bronze. The US still leads the Olympic medal count a few ahead of China. Today the US women’s soccer team will face off against the Netherlands in the quarterfinals. Track and field finally gets underway today as well. For everyone that didn’t violate the outdated weed policy. (Additional Out) Your once every four-year reminder that javelin, steeplechase and hammer throw still exist.

The Delta coronavirus variant appears to cause more severe illness and spreads as easily as chickenpox. A new CDC internal document also says that fully vaccinated people might spread it at the same rate as unvaccinated people. In other covid news, the Pentagon said that vaccine requirements for fed workers would apply to active military and President Biden called on states to use federal money to pay unvaccinated people $100 to get a shot. Its all part of their running out of ideas strategy. (Additional Out) He might wanna add another zero to that.

Estrella, his match, was supposed to join him from Germany last year but Covid restrictions kept the two apart. Now, with Estrella due to meet Hugo in September, caretakers organized a virtual first date via FaceTime. I assume it’ll be the second online date before Hugo really comes out of his shell. (Additional out) I’m guessing they’ll take it slow.
