Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, more places and groups adding vaccine mandates

California will require all state employees and health care workers to provide proof of vaccine status or get regular testing. New York City has a similar plan for all 340,000 members of its municipal workforce, including cops and teachers. Recent data shows that vaccinations are increasing in some key places. As more businesses start ‘Get the shot or get the swab’ policies. (Additional Out) Which is good because at this point we’re on like season 4 of Covid.

Tease: In ______ minutes, an update from Tokyo

Bad news for Team USA as Simone Biles is out of the women’s gymnastics team finals tonight. Other updates from Tokyo include an upset for tennis star Naomi Osaka who lost in straight sets and will leave without a medal. Plus, another upset occurred when Alaskan teen Lydia Jacoby won the women’s 100-meter breaststroke. Currently the US has jumped ahead of China in the medal standings. And I currently lead my family in times I’ve arrogantly and erroneously said, ‘I could totally compete in that sport’. (Additional Out) As our fit young people continue to dominate the rest of the world’s fit young people.

Tease: Coming up at _____, a Brazilian rapper’s latest extreme body modification

A Brazilian rapper has given himself a ‘demon smile’ by ripping some flesh off his face. Renato de Santa’s latest extreme modification involved having the skin between the corners of his mouth and ears removed using a scalpel. Since 1996, the rapper has modified himself by dying his eyeballs black, splitting his tongue and carving the number 666 into his head. Well it is important to have a hobby. (Additional Out) He seems nice.

Tease: In _____ minutes, a couple being sued for their Google reviews

Careful with those 1-star Google reviews, they may get you sued. A couple from Vancouver, Washington left one-star reviews for a roofing company after a receptionist was rude to them. According to the couple they were then contacted by the company’s owner who demanded they take them down. When they didn’t he sued them for over a hundred grand claiming defamation. I take it he’s not on Angie’s list. (Additional out) Money I assume he plans to use to hire additional rude employees.
