Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, this state wants to overturn Roe v Wade

Mississippi’s attorney general has urged the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. Attorney General Lynn Fitch called the 1973 landmark decision ‘egregiously wrong’ and asked the court to allow a controversial Mississippi law that bans most abortions after 15 weeks to go into effect. The court will hear arguments this fall. That won’t be divisive at all. (Additional Out) Just in time for us all to argue about it and ruin Thanksgiving.

Tease: In ______ minutes, why you might want to get your school supplies early

There will likely be a shortage of back-to-school supplies in the coming months. With more classrooms fully reopening in the fall, industry experts expect demand on school merchandise to be higher than normal. According to the National Retail Federation, the average family spends $850 on school supplies. Because we all know that having the lamest trapper keeper can scar you for life. (Additional Out) A high price to pay for something they’re going to just trade for candy.

Tease: Coming up at _____, why Crocs sued Walmart

Crocs have sued Walmart, Hobby Lobby and other companies for copying its iconic clog. In the trademark infringement lawsuits the shoemaker alleges that the retailers are selling cheaper knockoffs of its $50 clogs under a variety of different names. Strong pushback from the official shoe of people who’ve given up. (Additional Out) Mental note, stop production on my new line of Gators.

Tease: In _____ minutes, critics are calling this the movie of the summer

The new Ryan Reynolds film Free Guy is being touted as the movie of the summer. We’re now just weeks away from the August 13th release and the upcoming big budget action-comedy flick is getting rave reviews from critics. Steve Weintraub of Collider says that the zero-to-hero story in a video game world ‘might be the best video game movie ever made.’ But then again, that’s a pretty low bar. (Additional out) No need to convince me, I’m in on anything starring Van Wilder.

Phone Topic/Web Poll The prank war between Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon has escalated. Hart shared a photo on Instagram of an LA billboard he rented offering Cannon’s parenting advice. It reads ‘For any advice on Fatherhood? Call my best friend Nick Cannon’ and attached his actual phone number. This comes after Cannon got Hart a llama for his birthday. Who’s winning the prank war, Kevin or Nick, and what’s the best prank you’ve ever pulled on a friend?
