Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the largest county in the US reinstates mask mandates

Los Angeles County, the largest in the US, will reinstate its mask mandate starting at 11:59pm Saturday night. The order will require masking indoors regardless of vaccination status. The more contagious Delta variant has caused a surge in cases in almost every US state. Guess I better pull my masks out of the trash and wash them. (Additional Out) Something I’m sure the airline isn’t loving.

Tease: In ______ minutes, someone is crawfishing on the Bezos space flight

The person who spent $28 million for a seat on the Bezos space flight has bailed due to a ‘scheduling conflict’. The passengers for the upcoming Blue Origin space mission were set to include Jeff Bezos, his brother, an 82-year old pilot and an anonymous bidder. But, the anonymous bidder backed out at the last minute for scheduling reasons. That or he just realized he spent 28 mil to ride along with the second billionaire to go into space. (Additional Out) Not sure what could be more important than the space flight you dropped 28 mil on.

Tease: Coming up at _____, a 500 year old fingerprint belonging to this famous figure may have been discovered

A fingerprint found on a 500-year-old statue may belong to Michelangelo. Museum experts discovered what they believe to be the Renaissance master’s fingerprint pressed into the material of a small wax model he made for a larger unfinished marble sculpture. I assume they mean the famous artist and not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. (Additional Out) So somebody had a good day at work this week.

Tease: In _____ minutes, what critics are saying about Space Jam 2

Space Jam: A New Legacy has a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The LeBron James version of the Michael Jordan classic premiers in theaters and on HBO Max today. But critics have been less than kind, with one calling it a ‘shameless, tired exercise in IP-driven branding’. Keep in mind though, those are the same people who rated The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot certified fresh. (Additional out) However as a general rule, if the critics hate it, I love it.

Phone Topic/Web Poll Salad bars went away during the lockdown and may never come back. Most grocery stores and restaurant salad bars have yet to reopen and many aren’t saying whether they plan on bringing them back at all. What do you think, will salad bars ever come back and who had the best salad bar? Golden Coral, Jason’s Deli, Central Market, Saladworks, Sizzler, Luby’s, or somewhere else?
