Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer will propose legislation to decriminalize marijuana. If passed the proposed legislation would remove marijuana from the list of controlled substances, begin regulating and taxing it on the federal level. It would also expunge nonviolent marijuana related arrests and convictions from federal records. States would however, still be allowed to set their own pot laws. Depending on how cool they are. The Mandalorian, The Crown and Wandavision topped the list of Emmy nominations. The nominees were revealed yesterday with Mandalorian and Crown getting a whopping 24 nominations each and Wandavision receiving 23. Cedric the Entertainer will host the Emmy Awards in LA on September 19th. I can’t wait to watch and disagree with 90% of the winners. (Additional Out) At this point they should just call it the streaming awards because no network shows ever win anymore.

You’re not crazy, things are more expensive. Consumer prices jumped .9% in June, the biggest single month rise since 2008. Over the past twelve months prices have increased by 5.4%. Supply constraints, a rebound in the costs of travel-related services and a surge in used car and truck prices account for the bulk of the increases. Meaning I’m not upside down on my car for the first time in my adult life. (Additional Out) Along with the fact that the gas station signs just say ‘arm’ and ‘leg’.

The process involves low-flying planes 100 feet above water and has been in practice since the 50’s. Pilots can dump up to 35,000 trout into 60 lakes within a few hours. About 95% of the fish survive. Until they’re eaten by larger fish 30 seconds later. (Additional out) The other 5% go to fish heaven like all the goldfish I flushed as a child.
