That’s surprising given that the company is expected to lose money this year and next because gamers can download new titles directly. But, there’s a spirited group of traders on the WallStreetBets subreddit propping up the stock. Reddit is apparently home to hordes of day traders battling with short sellers who have called GameStop a “failing mall-based retailer”. Good for reddit, that’s a nice way to balance out some of the seedier things that happen on your platform.
