Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, does Vegas think Brady and the Bucs will win back-to-back Superbowls?

Despite their dominating 31 to 9 win last night over the Chiefs, giving Brady his 7th ring, the Buccaneers are not favored to win back-to-back championships. Vegas oddsmakers still have Kansas City as the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl in 2022, followed by Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Baltimore and Buffalo. But clearly they’re discounting the deal Tom Brady has made with the devil to never age. (Additional out) Frankly I don’t care who plays in the Super Bowl next year as long as Covid isn’t in attendance.

Tease: In ______ minutes, what to expect as Trump’s second impeachment trial begins tomorrow

Former President Donald Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial starts tomorrow but the outcome isn’t really in doubt. GOP Senator Pat Toomey says it’s ‘very unlikely’ the Senate votes to convict Trump, especially since 45 Senate Republicans previously voted to suggest the trial shouldn’t go forward. However, how long the trial will take and exactly what will happen are details that are still up for negation. But we all know sequels are never as interesting as the original. (Additional out) But one thing is for certain, there will be a ton of grand-standing and pandering to each party’s base.

Tease: Coming up at _____, what health experts say about the dip in Covid cases

Although a recent dip in Covid-19 infections may seem encouraging, experts warn now is not the time for Americans to let their guard down. With new variants circulating in the US, Dr. Peter Hortez from the Baylor College of Medicine told CNN Sunday, ‘The big wall is about to hit us again and these are the new variants.’ Which is fine with me, I need a few weeks to work off this quarantine fifteen before going back out in public anyway. (Additional out) Just hurry up and mail us all a check and a vile of the vaccine so we can hug grandma again.

Tease: In _____ minutes, the Puppy Bowl was much more competitive than the big game

Team Ruff beat Team Fluff, 73 to 69, in the 17th Puppy Bowl. Big Boss Paulie, an American Staffordshire Terrier and Dutch Shepherd mix, sprinted for a final TD as time ran out to give Team Ruff the narrow victory. The annual event featured 70 puppies from 22 different shelters, all of which are up for adoption. Team Ruff’s captain got a ‘Chewy Lombarky Trophy’. And the MVP award went to the only player who didn’t poo or pee on the field. (Additional Out) Plus, unlike the big game, the ref didn’t call any pretend penalties.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew out the Kansas City Chiefs last night 31 to 9, giving Tom Brady his record seventh Super Bowl win at age 43. Despite the game that wasn’t much of a game by the second half, the night was full of entertainment with a 7 million dollar halftime performance by the Weeknd, lots of interesting commercials, another great poem by America’s youngest poet laureate and an intimate performance of the Star Spangled Banner by Eric Church and Jasmine Sullivan. What was your favorite part of the Super Bowl, the game, the commercials, the Weeknd, the national anthem or something else?
