Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, Biden asks big companies to step up and help fight covid

Today the White House and business leaders will announce a plan for big business to aid in the fight against Covid. That includes Ford and the Gap donating more than 100 million masks, Uber offering free rides to vaccination sites, and pro sports leagues setting aside more than 100 stadiums and arenas for mass vaccination sites. So you can wash down your Covid shot with a $20 beer. (Additional out) Its all part of Biden's ‘things that should’ve been done a year ago’ plan.

Tease: In ______ minutes, would you pay to like someone on Twitter?

Twitter is considering letting users pay to subscribe to accounts they like. The company teased the feature it’s calling Super Followers during its Analyst Day presentation yesterday. If implemented, users would have the ability to pay creators for additional content within their Twitter feeds, including exclusive announcements and newsletters. Apparently Twitter has forgotten how the internet works. (Additional out) Sounds like one of those dumb ideas someone throws out at the end of a meeting that everyone agrees to just because they’re hungry.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the federal minimum wage isn’t likely to increase now

The coronavirus stimulus bill will not include a minimum wage increase. Last night the Senate parliamentarian ruled against including the proposed minimum wage increase in the stimulus bill. That’s a blow to progressives but it does mean there is less division over the bill now and it will face less opposition in the senate. The House is expected to pass the $1.9 trillion bill today. Cue Bernie yelling on TV in 3, 2 and 1. (Additional out) Then like an angry mob, it’ll head to the Senate.

Tease: In _____ minutes, new evidence in the Lady Gaga dog theft

New surveillance video shows the horrific attack on Lady Gaga’s dog walker that led to the theft of the pop star’s dogs. Two individuals can be seen opening fire on him and then fleeing the scene with Lady Gag’s two French bulldogs. Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward for the return of her dogs and luckily, the dog walker survived the multiple gunshot wounds. The footage was captured by someone’s home surveillance camera. Which is good, all mine ever catches is squirrels or videos of me eating it on an iced over patio. (Additional out) Based on the half a million dollar reward and publicity its getting, I’m sure they’ll get caught, you don’t mess with Gaga.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: PepsiCo knows that during the pandemic we all got more adept at making our own cocktails at home. So, the soda maker came out with a new booze mixer. Neon Zebra launches Monday and comes in four non-alcoholic flavors, a citrus margarita mix, strawberry-lime daquiri mix, lime-mint mojito mix and a lemon flavored whiskey sour mix. What’s your favorite cocktail to make at home, a margarita, an old fashioned, a mojito, or something else?
