Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, harrowing new footage shown at the impeachment trial

New security footage shown yesterday at the impeachment trial shows just how close the mob came to then-Vice President Mike Pence. Another security video House impeachment managers played shows Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman passing Senator Mitt Romney and redirecting him from the rioters’ path. Romney told reporters he hadn’t known he’d come that close to the rioters. Pretty sure they weren’t just looking for Mitt’s autograph either. However, the virus is still spreading more rapidly in the US than in almost any other large country so we’re not out of the woods yet. But the bear has stopped chasing us. (Additional out) But we can see the edge of the forest.

Tease: Coming up at _____, where and why people are seeing pillars of light in the night sky

Strange columns of light have been spotted recently across the northern US, dancing up toward the night sky and mesmerizing viewers. The light pillars look like something out of a sci-fi movie. But it’s not a sign of an alien invasion, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Bill Taylor its an optical phenomenon courtesy of a cold, calm atmosphere. Although if you were an alien looking to invade, now would probably be a good time. (Additional Out) That or Bill Taylor is secretly an alien masquerading as a Meteorologist.

Tease: In _____ minutes, a new drug to effectively fight obesity

Researchers say a new drug to fight obesity is a game-changer because of how well it reduces the risk of diabetes and other diseases. This marks the first time a drug has been shown so effective against obesity that patients may dodge many of its worst consequences. In a recent clinical trial, participants taking semaglutide lost an average of 15 percent of their body weight. Roughly the same amount most of us gained during quarantine, see things have a way of evening out. (Additional out) Good to know as I slowly recover from my Super Bowl food coma.
