Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, how many vaccine shots have been administered

More than 31 million vaccine shots have been administered across the US so far. Other glimmers of hope, hospitalizations are at a low not seen in two months. With the addition of Novavax and Johnson & Johnson there are now five vaccines showing extremely promising results at reducing infections, hospitalizations and deaths. Six if you count the one Putin is pretending works. (Additional out) Despite what your Uncle keeps saying on Facebook.

Tease: In ______ minutes, a movie about this is already in the works

A movie about the GameStop saga is already in the works. Sources tell Deadline that MGM has acquired a book proposal for The Antisocial Network from New York Times best-selling author Ben Mezrich. It tells the store of the ragtag group of amateur investors, gamers and internet trolls who brought Wall Street to its knees. No word on who will play my 16-year-old nephew who now drives a Lamborghini. (Additional out) I say just make an episode of Billions about it and move on.

Tease: Coming up at _____, how many of Trump’s impeachment lawyers quit over the weekend

All five members of former President Trump’s legal team have quit. Over the weekend Trump’s impeachment defense collapsed with a little more than a week to go before trial, but he announced two new lawyers this morning. Trump and his team disagreed over what arguments to make at trial, he wanted to focus on election fraud rather than the constitutionality of convicting a former president. Something tells me there are a lot of lawyers around DC not answering their phone today. (Additional out) But who needs lawyers when all the senators have already made up their minds about what’s best for their own political future.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this athlete makes more than Lebron, Mahomes and Trout combined

Lionel Messi reportedly makes $168 million per year. Over the weekend his contract with Barcelona leaked and revealed that the soccer superstar is by far the highest-paid athlete in the world. Last year Messi pocketed more than the yearly salary of Lebron James, Patrick Mahomes and Mike Trout combined. Sorry fellas, you should’ve learned how to kick a ball and flop at the slightest hint of contact. (Additional Out) Mainly because his sport doesn’t have rules that screw players out of getting paid what they’re worth.
