Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, what Biden will ask us all to do for his first 100 days in office

President-elect Joe Biden says he’ll urge every American to wear masks during the first 100 days of his presidency. The US hit another record number of hospitalizations yesterday with more than 100,000 people receiving treatment. Also, cruise giant Carnival has canceled all remaining cruises through February. Bad news for anyone who was hoping to take a Covid Cruise for Valentine’s. (Additional out) But you can recreate the experience by locking yourself in the smallest room in your house, drinking heavily and burning two grand.

Tease: In ______ minutes, this major movie studio will debut all its 2021 movies on streaming simultaneously

Warner Brothers announced yesterday that they will debut their entire slate of 2021 movies on HBO Max the same day as theaters. Their list of 17 movies includes blockbusters like “Dune”, “The Matrix 4” and a “Suicide Squad” sequel. The move by one of the top studios indicates that the movie industry may never return to the old normal. I never thought I’d be nostalgic for overpriced popcorn and sodas, but I am. (Additional out) So if you’re keeping score that’s another point for 2020 and still nothing on the board for life as we know it.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this superstar could end up playing with his son after extending his contract

LeBron James could end up playing with his son in the NBA after he extended his contract with the Lakers. The extension worth a reported $85 million means King James will remain a Laker until the end of the 2022-2023 season and opens up the possibility of him playing in the NBA at the same time as his son, Bronny. So Bronny can live in his shadow while being within his actual shadow. (Additional Out) Plus, as defacto NBA commissioner I’m sure LeBron will be able to waive the College rule for him.

Tease: In _____ minutes, why you shouldn’t volunteer to work with Carole Baskin

A volunteer at Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue is recovering after a gruesome tiger attack. The volunteer at the facility, made famous by the “Tiger King” Netflix series, nearly had her arm ripped off while feeding one of the big cats. According to a Fire Rescue official the victim suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries. No word on whether it was the same tiger Carole "allegedly" fed her ex-husband to. (Additional Out) Never good to lose a limb at a job you’re not getting paid for.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: Rising caseloads are creating chaos for football. The NFL had to postpone the Steelers Ravens game three times before finally playing it Wednesday afternoon. Last Sunday the Denver Broncos had to play without any quarterbacks resulting in an unwatchable game. Plus, thanks to a ban on contact sports in Santa Clara, California the 49ers will play their remaining home games near Phoenix, where case counts are even higher. What do you think, should the NFL finish their season?
