Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, what the average American will get if the new stimulus bill passes

A $600 stimulus check and $300 a week in enhanced weekly unemployment benefits will likely be included in the new bipartisan stimulus bill. The $900 billion-dollar Covid relief deal is also expected to include funding for rental and food assistance, small businesses, schools and more. Most importantly it has the support needed to get a floor vote in the Senate. Where Emperer Palpatine, I mean Mitch McConnell, will hold his nose and pass it. (Additional out) We can thank lawmakers desire to go on recess and win the Georgia runoffs for causing this rare compromise.

Tease: In ______ minutes, why these parents were charged for their kid’s birthday party

Two parents in Ohio have been charged after they rented a party bus for their kid’s birthday with 60 mask-less children inside. Police in Mount Healthy, ironic name, saw an unmarked bus drop 60 kids off at a shopping center north of Cincinnati. None of the children were wearing masks or social distancing and several of them were fighting. 60 kids in a bus kind of sounds like a living nightmare to me even pre-pandemic. (Additional out) The other parents should’ve been suspicious when they got the invitation to ‘Timmy’s Super-Spreader Shopping Spree Party’, come for the cake, stay for the covid.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this rich person is giving away billions

The world’s 18th richest person, MacKenzie Scott, is giving away billions. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife has given large donations to colleges and universities that serve often overlooked students. MacKenzie has donated nearly $4.2 billion to hundreds of organizations over the past four months, roughly 7% of her net worth. So, proportionally that’s the same as me putting a few bucks in the tip jar, but still it’s a nice thing to do. (Additional out) So, proportionally the same as I’ve donated to Amazon recently for things I don’t need simply because I’m bored.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Taco Bell is bringing this popular item back

Nacho Fries are back at Taco Bell. The fast food giant had axed a number of menu items a few months ago because of the pandemic. Beginning December 24th Taco Bell customers will once again be able to order Nacho Fries, the Loaded Nacho Taco and the Bacon Club Chalupa. Perfect for anyone who wants dysentery for Christmas. (Additional Out) However, they’ve still decided to pass on my loaded smoothie idea where you just take one of everything and throw it into a blender.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: The pandemic has been good for the celebrity gossip industry. Instagram and TikTok accounts dedicated to gossip are flourishing. Many celebrity gossip accounts, known as ‘tea’ accounts for “spilling the tea”, have seen a ten to twenty fold increase in followers recently. What do you think, are you gossiping more during the pandemic?

Contest Tease: Coming up at _____________, which US city gets the most of this each year? The correct answer wins ________.

A: Rochester, NY

B: New York, NY

Answer: A, Rochester, New York gets more snow than any other large city in the US averaging nearly 100 inches. That’s over eight feet of snow per year. Enough to build roughly one Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson snowman or two Kevin Hart snowmen.

[DIY Feature] Throwback Thursday Name That Year: I’ll describe the events of a year and the first person to call in and correctly identify it wins ___________. If no one gets it I’ll move on to more clues.

1st break clues: The Deepwater Horizon Oil spill happened, Spain wins the World Cup, and this movie confused us all (Inception Clip)

2nd break clues: Apple releases the Ipad, Sam Bradford is chosen #1 in the NFL draft, and this show debuted on TV (Walking Dead Clip)

Answer: 2010
