Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the electors do their duty

The Electoral College members will meet in states across the country to cast their vote today. That will officially certify the US presidential election. Most years it’s a formality that goes largely unnoticed but this year all eyes will be on the electors to see if they follow the will of the voters in each state. So basically its a college that meets every four years to decide whether they want to destroy democracy. (Additional out) I’m sure it’ll go smoothly and everyone will accept the results and move on.

Tease: In ______ minutes, Santa and his elf fight crime

Cops dressed as Santa and his elf jumped into action in Riverside, California when they saw a car being stolen. The undercover police officer and detective were outside a shopping center as part of a holiday enforcement program when they saw three men in the process of stealing a Honda CR-V. The suspects ran but were quickly apprehended. That's a pretty sure-fire way to land on the naughty list. (Additional out) If a guy whose diet consists solely of milk and cookies can run you down, you have no business being a criminal.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the only place to get Whisky KitKats

You can now get Scotch whisky KitKats, but only in Japan. Nestle has launched a new gourmet line of KitKats using chocolate aged for six months in whisky barrels in Scotland. Sadly whisky KitKats are only available for the winter season and in Japan. Which isn’t fair, if there’s one country that could use booze infused candy right now it’s us. (Additional out) So for now I’ll have to settle for consuming my chocolate and whisky separately like a peasant.

Tease: In _____ minutes, another sports team changes their name

After years of protest the Cleveland Indians will change their name. Sources told ESPN the MLB team that’s gone by the nickname for 105 years will be the latest professional sports franchise to shed its Native American imagery. Cleveland may keep the name and uniforms for the upcoming 2021 season while working to shift as early as 2022. So they don’t pull a Washington and just have to go by Cleveland Baseball Team. (Additional Out) Spoiler alert, this won’t end their 72 year championship drought.
