Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, your Olympic update

Spoiler alert, Simone Biles bounced back to win a bronze medal in balance beam. In other Olympic news Norwegian runner, Karsten Warholm, won the men’s 400 meter hurdle and shattered the world record with a time of 45.94 seconds. Also, four members of team Greece tested positive for Covid-19 forcing them to pull out of the artistic swimming duet event. Which believe it or not is a real event that I didn’t make up. (Additional Out) Sad news for all four fans of the event.

Tease: In ______ minutes, where a two headed sea turtle was found in the US

A two-headed baby sea turtle was found on a South Carolina beach. Park volunteers at Edisto Beach State Park were making a routine inventory to check on sea turtle nests with they made the discovery. Now the hatchling has been released into the ocean where it belongs. But it will live on forever in my nightmares. (Additional Out) Where it will be eaten immediately by a shark.

Tease: Coming up at _____, minivans are cool again

Minivans are back, the family vehicles are in such high demand that they’re selling above sticker price. According to a recent Cox Automotive report, on average minivans are selling for 8% above the sticker price, higher than cars, trucks and SUVs. I guess Chili Palmer was on to something. (Additional Out) I knew if I held onto that Astro Van long enough it would come back in style.

Tease: In _____ minutes, one of Einstein’s predictions comes true

Scientists have detected light from behind a black hole for the first time. Stanford University astrophysicist Dan Wilkins and his colleagues observed small flashes of x-ray light coming from the far side of a supermassive black hole nearly 800-million light years from earth. The discovery fulfills a prediction rooted in Albert Einstein’s theory of general relativity. Hands down my favorite scientific theory, mainly because it’s the only one I vaguely remember. (Additional out) I’ve seen enough movies to know that all space related scientific discoveries inevitably end with alien invasions.
