Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the Afghan evacuation goes from bad to worse

13 US service members and at least 90 Afghans were killed in a tragic terrorist attack yesterday. ISIS-K has claimed responsibility. Suicide bombers and gunmen attacked packed crowds outside the airport. In a speech Biden vowed to continue the evacuation of American citizens and Afghan allies ahead of the August 31st deadline. To the terrorists responsible for the attack he added “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.”

Tease: In ______ minutes, this fast food chain is upgrading their fries

Wendy’s is upgrading their French fries to decrease sogginess and increase the crunch. The all-new Wendy’s French fry recipe will debut next month. The goal is for the new fries to hold up better in transit with the rise of delivery services like DoorDash. I guess the Wendy’s execs finally tasted McDonald’s fries and they were like ‘Oh, that’s how you do it.’ (Additional Out) Apparently, they’re aware that the DoorDash guy gets lost roughly 90% of the time.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the CDC sent out a warning about this drug

The CDC sent a health advisory warning doctors and the public about the drug ivermectin. The advisory noted a ‘rapid increase’ in prescriptions for the drug meant to treat parasites such as worms and lice in humans. It is also used by vets to de-worm large animals. The CDC says it won't treat you for Covid-19 but it might kill you. The increase comes after some media personalities pushed it as a possible treatment for Covid-19. That’s why you don’t get your health advise from the comments section on Facebook. (Additional Out) So it might not cure covid but at least you won’t have cow worms.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Elon Musk wants to supply this to Texans

Tesla wants to sell electricity to people in Texas. CEO Elon Musk created a new subsidiary called Tesla Energy Ventures and filed an application with the Public Utility Commission. Tesla plans on building two giant batteries in the state, one near its factory outside of Austin. Electricity in Texas was mostly deregulated in 2002. Hence why the whole state froze for four days last year. (Additional out) With a bill that took 18 whole years to cause massively backfire.

Phone Topic/Web Poll Mission: Impossible 7 reportedly features the biggest stunt Tom Cruise has ever done. Footage of his new stunt was unveiled at CinemaCon yesterday showing Cruise riding a motorbike off a massive ramp on the side of an enormous cliff. The stunt included 500 hours of skydiving training and 13,000 motorbike jumps to prepare him. What do you think, do you care if a movie star does their own stunts and if you were paid $20 mil to star in a movie would you do your own stunts?
