Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, a terrorist threat at the Kabul airport

The US, Britain and Australia are telling citizens to stay away from the Kabul airport citing threats of a terrorist attack. Its estimated there are 1,500 Americans still in Afghanistan as well as 250,000 Afghans who worked with the US, but its unclear how many want to leave. So far, the US has evacuated 82,000 from Kabul’s international airport and 10,000 are still waiting there. There’s less than 36 hours left to evacuate. And roughly 72 hours before the news cycle moves on. (Additional Out) And roughly 3 years left of politicians finger pointing.

Tease: In ______ minutes, OnlyFans walks back the ban

OnlyFans has suspended their proposed ban on sexually explicit content that would’ve gone into effect on October 1st. The move comes after a push back from sex workers who helped create OnlyFans success and popularity. The company said its banking partners assured it the site could be a ‘home for all creators’. After they remembered that sexually explicit content makes up 90% of OnlyFans business model. (Additional Out) That’s one way to get publicity, pretend to ban porn for a few days.

Tease: Coming up at _____, what’s new on Netflix in September

The final season of Luther, Money Heist Part 5 and assassin thriller Kate will hit Netflix in September. See the full list on our website. A few other highlights include The Starling a drama starring Melissa McCarthy and Kevin Kline, Michael Keaton’s new film about the 9/11 compensation fund called Worth and comedy series QForce and Afterlife of the Party. Along with a bunch of crime documentaries for me to fall asleep to. (Additional Out) IE, at least enough to last me through Labor Day weekend before I start perusing Paramount Plus and Hulu.

Tease: In _____ minutes, states who’ve run out of ICU beds

Arkansas and Alabama are out of ICU beds. Several other states are near full capacity including Florida, Kentucky, Texas, Georgia, Idaho, Nevada and Illinois. Nationwide, 77% of ICU beds are full amid the Covid surge caused by the Delta variant with most taken by unvaccinated patients. Is this the third wave or the fourth? I’ve lost count. (Additional out) It feels like we’ve seen this movie before and I hate sequels.
