Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, when Moderna will get full approval

The Moderna Covid-19 vaccine shot is likely to get full approval within the coming weeks. Yesterday the FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for people 16 and older, paving the way for more vaccine mandates. The US military will now require all service members to be vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine will be marketed as Comirnaty. Because scientists are terrible at naming things. (Additional Out) Side effects of Comirnaty include seeing your friends again, not having an excuse to get out of weddings and having to go back to the office.

Tease: In ______ minutes, some big films coming to Netflix this fall and winter

Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio’s dark comedy Don’t Look Up is one of the big films hitting Netflix this fall and Winter. See the full list on our website. A few other standouts include Zack Snyder’s Army of Thieves, a prequel to Army of the Dead about a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, that premiers October 29th and the Idris Elba, Regina Johnson western The Harder They Fall that debuts November 3rd. As Netflix continues their throw a bunch of stuff against the wall to see what sticks strategy. (Additional Out) IE plenty to justify the $14 your uncle pays for the account your whole family shares.

Tease: Coming up at _____, AirBnB pledges to help Afghan refugees

AirBnB pledged free housing to 20,000 Afghan refugees. The rental company’s CEO Brian Chesky called the situation ‘one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time’ adding ‘we feel a responsibility to step up.’ He said the program would begin immediately and that AirBnB would pay for the stays. Chesky did not say how long refugees would be housed or how long the company would fund their stays. Kind of an important detail, but still a kind gesture. (Additional Out) Great news or not so great news depending on which prime time cable news shows you watch.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this NFL team goes virtual after their Covid list expands

The Dallas Cowboys suspended practice and went virtual after their Covid protocol list expanded by 3. That includes standout second-year receiver CeeDee Lamb and safeties Malik Hooker and Israel Mukuamu. This comes after Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn and defensive tackle Carlos Watkins were sent home early from Saturday’s preseason game against the Texans. So, I guess we know what tonight’s episode of Hard Knocks will focus on. (Additional out) Which is odd because usually it takes a month or two for the Hard Knocks curse to kick in.
