Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, vaccinations pick up

For the first time the US administered 1 million vaccine shots in 24 hours yesterday. With the alarming rate of cases and hospitalizations more reluctant Americans are choosing to get vaccinated. Two states that have lagged the rest of the nation, Oklahoma and Louisiana, are now outpacing the national average. Overall vaccinations rates are up 70% over a month ago. Despite all the misinformation still spreading like wildfire on Facebook. (Additional Out) Better late than never I guess.

Tease: In ______ minutes, OnlyFans bans this kind of content

OnlyFans announced it will ban sexually explicit content starting in October. The company issued a statement yesterday saying ‘In order to ensure long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines.’ It will still allow nudes that comply, but it’s a massive shift for a service that has become a major space for adult content. And it leaves just 1.3 trillion other places to get content like that online. (Additional Out) Unfortunately that means we’re definitely gonna get another rap album from the Cash Me Ousside girl.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this company is building a humanoid robot

Tesla is building a humanoid robot according to Elon Musk. At the company’s AI day last night, Musk made the announcement and said they will probably have a prototype by next year. He added it’s going to ‘star with work that is boring, repetitive and dangerous’ asking ‘What is the work that people would least like to do?’ Around here its anything that doesn’t involve talking into a microphone between records. (Additional Out) That’s why every robot movie ends in a robot army rising up, we always give them the crappy jobs.

Tease: In _____ minutes, would be bomber livestreams his threats

A bomb threat suspect livestreamed his grievances on Facebook yesterday outside the US Capitol. A tense standoff with Police followed several real-time social media updates where he referenced a ‘revolution’ and asked Biden and Democrats to ‘step down’. After placing him in custody police eventually recovered bomb-making materials from the 49-year-old North Carolina man’s truck but no bomb. Always a good idea to livestream your felonies. (Additional out) That is one upside to social media, it’s a lot easier to catch the wackos now.
