The F.D.A. is planning to authorize an additional dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine for people with weakened immune systems. The move would amend the emergency use authorizations for both vaccines to allow immunocompromised people to get a booster shot. So my next step is to find out what the word immunocompromised means. (Additional Out) I typically take my booster shot ten minutes before closing time.

Mike Richards and Mayim Bialik will both host Jeopardy. Sony Pictures Television announced yesterday that Mike Richards will become the host of the long-running daily syndicated program and Mayim Bialik will host primetime and spin-off specials. Richards is the show’s executive producer and Bialik is a neuroscientist and actress best known for her role on Big Bang Theory. Or Blossom if you’re over 40. (Additional Out) In other words, her nerd cred is high.

Hackers stole about $600 million in cryptocurrency from Poly Network in what it says is the largest theft in the industry’s history. Poly Network is a decentralized finance platform. In a Twitter post the company begged the attacker to return the money saying ‘The money you stole are from tens of thousands of crypto community members… you should talk to us to work out a solution.’ For once, me not understanding how cryptocurrency works paid off. (Additional Out) Ah the old ask them nicely approach, I’m sure that’ll work.

Tickets for tonight’s Field of Dreams game are going for as high as $4,400. It’s the first regular season MLB game to ever be played in Iowa. The Chicago White Sox will take on the New York Yankees at the site of the 1989 Kevin Costner movie Field of Dreams near Dyersville, Iowa. Call me when they have the Bull Durham game. (Additional out) Apparently if you build it they will come, and pay through the nose.

Men are 30% more likely than women to have made at least one online purchase since the start of the pandemic drunk or stoned. Overall, respondents spent an average of $564 in intoxicated online purchases in the past year. [Contest setup] At a press conference Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell recently revealed his shocking daily coffee routine. Campbell said every morning he drinks 2 venti iced coffees from Starbucks with 2 espresso shots in each. That’s 40 ounces of coffee and four additional espresso shots. How many milligrams of caffeine is he consuming every morning?  

A: 900 mg  

B: 1,100 mg  

C: 1,300 mg  

Answer: B, Campbell’s coffee routine includes 1,100 milligrams of caffeine, nearly three times the FDA’s daily suggested limit of 400 milligrams. Which might explain why he always looks like he’s about to rip someone’s head off.
