Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, good and bad covid news

The US is averaging more than 100,000 new cases a day for the first time since February. New cases are also up among young people, with 94,000 cases among children added in the past week. On a brighter note, vaccination rates are also up 10% over last week’s pace. As we transition from the carrot to the stick approach. (Additional Out) Despite social media continuing to do their part to spread misinformation.

Tease: In ______ minutes, a real-life dragon bone found

A terrifying ‘dragon’ flew over Australia 105 million years ago according to new research. Yesterday a study was published on a fossil of a pterosaur with a nearly 30-foot wingspan making it Australia’s largest flying reptile. With its long neck and spearlike mouth, scientists say ‘it’s the closest thing we have to a real life dragon.’ Mental note, don’t go back 105 million years in the time machine I’m currently building in my basement. (Additional Out) Something tells me this leaned more Khaleesi’s dragon than Puff the Magic Dragon.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the senate works together

The bipartisan infrastructure deal will likely pass through the Senate today (Watch for updates at 11am EST.) Last night Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that Republicans and Democrats had reached an agreement on the final passage of the massive 1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure package. Once passed, it will go to the House. Then senators will go back to their partisan corners. (Additional Out) Where bipartisan is still a dirty word.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Domino’s heats up the delivery wars

Domino’s is giving away $50 million in free food to take on competitors like DoorDash and UberEats. The pizza chain announced a ‘Surprise Frees’ promotion to reward customers. Lucky Domino’s customers who order on the company’s website now through November 21st could get an added menu item at no additional cost, including pizza, cheesy bread or chocolate lava cakes. A great surprise for most, a terrible surprise for those of us on our post-quarantine diets. (Additional out) Provided the new robot delivery cars they’re testing end up at the right house.
