Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the number of US colleges that will require students to be vaccinated

More than 100 U.S. colleges will require in-person students to be vaccinated. As most colleges inch toward the end of the spring semester, so far more than 100 colleges and universities have said they will require all their students to get vaccinated against Covid-19 before they return to campus for the fall semester. A recent poll found that 36% of adults under 35 don’t plan to get the vaccine. But unless you want to be partying at mom and dad’s house again in the fall, it looks like you better get vaccinated. (Additional out) Which is odd, because usually it’s easy to get young people to take shots.

Tease: In ______ minutes, QBs own the first night of the NFL draft

As expected the top 3 picks in the NFL draft were QBs. The Jaguars chose Trevor Lawrence from Clemson at 1, the Jets picked BYU’s Zach Wilson and the 49ers selected Trey Lance from North Dakota State. Atlanta ended the streak when it picked Florida tight end Kyle Pitts fourth. Also, unsurprisingly, Roger Goodell got booed returning a sense of normalcy to the world. (Additional Out) Plus, a few lucky fans got to sit in an old chair Roger Goodell brought from his house for some reason.

Tease: Coming up at _____, an update on Lady Gaga’s dog walker

Five people have been arrested and charged for their involvement in the February shooting and robbery of Lady Gaga’s dog walker. Three, who ranged in age from 18 to 27, were arrested this week on attempted murder charges. The other two in their forties were charged with accessory to attempted murder. No word on who will play them in the inevitable Lifetime movie. (Additional out) They sound like some real criminal masterminds.

Tease: In _____ minutes, good news about the US economy

The U.S. economy is recovering much faster than after the 2008 financial crisis. Americans have begun purchasing small goods like clothes and large things like vehicles. Our economy grew by a robust 6.4% in first quarter as unemployment keeps falling. Because if there’s one thing we’re good at it’s spending our way out of a crisis. (Additional out). Granted the majority of our money is going to Jeff Bezos.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: NFL insiders say that Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay after contract talks have soured. Yesterday Adam Schefter tweeted that Rodgers ‘does not want to return to the team’. But the Packers say they’re ‘committed’ to him and are not looking to trade him. Reportedly, the 49ers even attempted a pre-draft blockbuster trade to land the veteran QB but it fell through. What do you think, will Aaron Rodgers be a Green Bay Packer next season and if not, why will he leave and where will he go?
