Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, we move one step closer to a government shutdown

Senate Republicans blocked a bill that would avert a government shutdown and prevent the US from defaulting on its debt. Now there’s no clear plan among lawmakers to keep government funding from running out at the end of the month. If no deal is reached the government will close on Friday. No biggie, its not like we’re still in a global pandemic or anything. (Additional Out) Which should make for a fun weekend.

Tease: In ______ minutes, this SNL cast member is leaving the show

Beck Bennett announced his departure from SNL after 8 years. The man behind a solid Putin and Pence impression took to Instagram to show his appreciation for the quote ‘remarkable people and incredible experiences that completely changed my life.’ While Bennett is leaving, all the other regular cast members will return. Tease: Coming up at _____, TikTok surpasses a major tech milestone

TikTok now has more than 1 billion active monthly users. The company said in a blog post yesterday that they have reached the exclusive tech milestone. The short-form video app’s popularity surged as people spent more time on their phones during the pandemic. Instead of connecting with their loved ones. (Additional out) Plus, it inspired an Applebee’s commercial I’m really getting tired of.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this hamster knows more about crypto than I do

A German hamster’s cryptocurrency portfolio is beating the market, up 16% since June. In trading sessions livestreamed on Twitch the hamster named Mr. Goxx runs on an ‘intention wheel’ that spins around and chooses a cryptocurrency. Then it scampers through either a ‘buy’ or ‘sell’ tunnel triggering purchases or sales of roughly 20 euros worth of that cryptocurrency. If he chooses a crypto and immediately poops everywhere, sell that pretend currency immediately. (Additional out) I expect this from the country that gets their weather predictions from a groundhog, but not you Germany.
