Tropical Storm Nicholas is making its way toward Texas and Louisiana, threatening to drench the region for much of the week and leave some communities flooded. Having slowed to a near stand-still in the Gulf of Mexico, Nicholas could strengthen significantly. A hurricane watch is in effect from Port Aransas to Freeport, Texas, which could see 9 to 12 inches of rain in 48 hours. Can’t be a good sign that it’s mid-September and we’re already on N. In a new poll from the National Institute of Drug Abuse close to half of college students, 44%, reported using pot at some point in 2020. That’s up 6% from the same poll just five years ago.
