Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, a newly discovered dinosaur

Scientists discovered a previously unknown species of predatory dinosaur with shark-like teeth. Belonging to the carcharodontosaur family it would have been the T. rex of it’s day, roaming Central Asia 90 million years ago. It was 22 feet long and weighed more than a ton. Scientists have named it Ulughbegsaurus Uzbekistanensis. Which just rolls right off the tongue. (Additional Out) One day someone with an aptitude for naming things will do us all a favor and go into science.

Tease: In ______ minutes, the new mandates

100 million Americans including federal employees, all health care workers and private sector employees of companies with 100 or more workers will be subject to the President’s new vaccine mandates. Biden laid out his new six-step strategy to deal with Covid in a speech yesterday, showing his frustration with the unvaccinated saying ‘We’ve been patient but our patience is wearing thin.’ Angry grandpa mode initiated. (Additional Out) IE put down the cow medicine and do your part.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the first all-teen US open final since 1999

Relative unknowns Emma Raducanu (Rah-due-cah-new) and Leylah Fernandez will face off in the Women’s US Open final tomorrow. 18-year-old Raducanu advanced to her first major final last night after defeating Maria Sakkari of Greece. Now she’ll battle 19-year-old Canadian Leylah Fernandez at Arthur Ashe stadium Saturday marking the first major tennis final between teenagers in 22 years. So, if I’ve got my teenage slang down, they’re both ‘baddies’ but only one will be determined to be ‘bussin’ by the end of the match. (Additional) In other words, expect some drama.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this tech company is partnering with Ray-Ban on smart glasses

Facebook and Ray-Ban have rolled out some smart glasses that actually look cool. The glasses, called Ray-Ban Stories, start at $299 and include high-tech features like cameras, microphones and speakers to capture photos, videos and listen to music. To capture a pic or video you either press a button on the glasses near your right temple or utilize Facebook Assistant and just say ‘Hey Facebook, take a picture’ or ‘video.’ Plus, they look a thousand times better than those dorky Google Glasses nobody bought. (Additional) Take all of my money now, I’m 100% in.
