Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, more bad news for Facebook

A series of news stories dubbed ‘The Facebook Papers’ is being published by 17 US news organizations. The stories, based on thousands of internal documents, reveal how Facebook has been used to sow political discord and extremism around the world, facilitate human trafficking, push hate speech and misinformation and organize events like the January 6th insurrection. But I’m sure their name change will fix everything. (Additional Out) But only because they knowingly programmed an algorithm to specifically do all of those things in exchange for profit.

Tease: In ______ minutes, Brady ups the ante for the 600th ball guy

Tom Brady threw a bitcoin to the guy who gave back his 600th TD pass in Sunday’s game. On Peyton and Eli’s ESPN2 broadcast last night the future hall of famer talked about how Bucs fan Byron Kennedy returned the ball in exchange for two signed jerseys, a helmet, another jersey autographed by Evans, Evan’s game-worn cleats, season tickets and a $1,000 credit to the team store. The bitcoin Brady added is currently worth $63 grand. He didn’t, however, throw in the creepy thing Romo suggested. (Additional Out) Roughly six to seven hundred grand less than he’d of gotten for it on Ebay.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the percentage of businesses reporting a shortage of workers

47% of businesses reported a shortage of skilled workers in the third quarter according to a recent national survey. On top of the ongoing labor shortage, supply chain issues continue. Currently $24 billion in goods is estimated to be sitting outside California’s two biggest ports. Officials warn that the supply chain crisis could last through the first half of 2022. Luckily, I still have fireworks that I didn’t get to use left over from last 4th of July. (Additional out) Turns out hoarders we’re on to something.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this billionaire wants to build a tourism space station

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin is proposing to build a tourism space station nearly as big as the International Space Station. The massive new commercial space station called ‘Orbital Reef’ would be able to host up to 10 people. It could be used to host science experiments, in-space manufacturing and even vacation getaways. Because that’s how I want to spend my summer vacations, cramped into a space station with my family trying to explain how my kids clogged a space toilet. (Additional out) That you may or may not return from.
