Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, a new climate change solution

Could giant carbon-sucking fans be the answer to cleaning up our climate change mess? That’s the hope of scientists in Iceland who’ve constructed a towering metal structure resembling four giant Lego bricks, with two rows of six whirring fans running across each one. Machines like it are being used to literally suck CO2 out of the atmosphere like giants vacuum cleaners. Will it work? I don’t know I’m not a scientist, but it’s worth a shot. (Additional Out) I knew if we waited long enough we’d eventually invent our way out of it.

Tease: In ______ minutes, what’s being cut from the economic spending bill

Tuition-free community college is out of the pared-down economic spending bill despite being a major White House priority. The child tax credit has also been shorted to only one more year in the new $1.75 to $1.9 trillion-dollar bill. Other items on the chopping block include provisions for paid leave benefits, disability care and elder care. Sorry Grandma, Joe Manchin’s trying to get re-elected. (Additional Out) But don’t worry, I’m sure there’s still plenty of things in there we’re overpaying for.

Tease: Coming up at _____, why your morning routine could get pricier

Proctor & Gamble is raising prices on some grooming, beauty and oral care products. The announcement by one of the largest consumer goods manufacturers means our morning routines could get more expensive. Other major manufacturers and stores have also increased prices in response to rising expenses for raw materials and transportation. Guess it’s time to move out to the woods and learn to make my own soap. (Additional out) The cost of hygiene products going up is bad news for everyone except Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Kanye’s got a new name

A judge has granted Kanye West’s request to change his name to just Ye. The rapper, born Kanye Omari West, filed paperwork in a California courthouse and Judge Michelle Williams granted his petition to legally change his name. He hinted at the change back in 2018 when he tweeted, ‘the being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE,’ but now its official. So those of you who had failed run for president and name change on your crazy bingo card just won. (Additional out) Kind of lame, at least Prince picked a random symbol, all you did was shorten your existing name.
