Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, the world series is set and I’ll tell you who’s picked to win

The Tampa Bay Rays and the LA Dodgers will meet in the World Series and the Dodgers open as favorites. After LA’s win over the Braves last night oddsmakers expect them to win it all against the Rays. Game 1 is tomorrow night at a neutral field, Globe Life in Arlington, Texas. Based on the way the Rangers are playing lately it’ll be the first and last time the World Series is held in Arlington for quite a while. (Additional out) The new stadium with a retractable roof they built so people don’t burst into flames during mid-summer games.

Tease: In ______ minutes, the two US states where Covid cases are trending down

Alabama and Hawaii are the only two states where Covid cases are trending in the right direction. With Covid-19 infections continuing to soar across the US, Dr. Anthony Fauci says following public health measures like social distancing, avoiding crowds and wearing a mask are the way out of the crisis. As the US approaches 8.2 million cases, Global cases have now surpassed 40 million according to John Hopkins University. But, according to my weird uncle, everything is fine. (Additional out) But, according to half my friends on Facebook, we’re all good.

Tease: Coming up at _____, good news about a hiker missing for nearly two weeks

A hiker missing at Zion National Park for twelve days has been found alive. 38-year old Holly Courtier was last seen entering the Utah park on October 6th. Search and rescue teams found Holly on Sunday after a tip from a park visitor. Courtier has since been reunited with her family and left the park. Where I’m assuming they cooked her a nice hot meal and politely asked her to shower. (Additional out) She’s stronger than I am, I panic if I get lost in a Costco.

Tease: In _____ minutes, Troy Aikman overshares

Troy Aikman weirded out NFL fans yesterday talking about how offensive lineman’s sweaty butts make the football wet. The Bucs were blowing out the Packers Sunday afternoon giving Troy and Joe Buck time to go on a few strange tangents. Late in the fourth Aikman confessed that he forced his centers to change pants to keep their butt sweat at bay. Troy probably should’ve filed that away under things you don’t admit on national TV. (Additional Out) Either the odd ramblings of a man who had eight concussions or he’s angling for a baby powder endorsement.
