Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, Facebook bans another conspiracy theory

Facebook announced it will now ban holocaust deniers under its hate speech policy. This move comes just a week after the company said it will ban all pages, groups and Instagram accounts representing the QAnon conspiracy theory. Soon conspiracy theorists will have to go old school and just yell at people on street corners again. (Additional out) But for now people can still pretend the earth is flat and we faked the moon landing.

Tease: In ______ minutes, I’ll tell you where to get some of the best Prime Day deals

The two-day Amazon Prime Day sales start today. You can see more on our website but here are a few of the best deals. 23andMe’s Health and Ancestry service is half off today only, the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition is also 50% off, Apple Airpods are marked down 28% and the iRobot Roomba 692 Robot Vacuum is $120 off. In case you want something for your cat to ride around the room while it kind of cleans. (Additional out) It’s kind of like Black Friday without the fear of getting trampled by a crowd sprinting toward flat screen TV deals.

Tease: Coming up at _____, voting during a pandemic is already proving problematic

Early in-person voting has started and it’s already a mess in some states. Hour long lines around the state plagued voters in Georgia, in New York the NYPD has told all their officers to prepare to be deployed for protests before and after the election and in California the Republican Party has been asked to remove unofficial ballot boxes they illegally placed in at least 3 counties. Plus, in some states you get a punch in the face with your I Voted sticker depending on who you vote for. (Additional out) Regardless, I plan on voting because it’s my civic duty and it gives me the right to complain.

Tease: In _____ minutes, why a family’s Halloween decorations are being called ‘Too real’

A Riverside, California family’s Halloween decorations are so realistic that the fire department keeps coming out. They have a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ themed display and this year the family added projections that make it look like the house is on fire along with smoke and simulated explosions. 400 people drive by every night and some are so convinced it’s the real thing that they call 911. This is what happens when dad has too much time on his hands. (Additional Out) I’m sure their neighbors are delighted.
