Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, where the world’s tallest single-rail rollercoaster just opened

Jersey Devil, the world’s tallest single-rail rollercoaster, just opened at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. The 130-foot drop reaches speeds of almost 60 miles per hour. The park says it’s the ‘world’s tallest, fastest and longest single rail coaster’ with 3,000 feet of track and towering 13 stories high. That’s a hard pass for me, I wait at least a year after any ride is built to make sure some engineer didn’t forget to carry a one. (Additional Out) Tall enough for me to blackout, long enough for me to recover, then black out again.

Tease: In ______ minutes, this new asteroid spotting telescope is one step closer to reality

The NEO Surveyor telescope that could spot potentially hazardous asteroids heading to Earth has been approved by NASA. The 20-foot-long infrared Near-Earth-Object Surveyor would bolster planetary defense by helping astronomers find asteroids and comets that come within 30 miles of Earth’s orbit, rapidly accelerating NASA’s ability to discover those that would pose a threat. However, our best plan on what to do next is still, ‘Uh, I don’t know, shoot a nuke at it’. (Additional Out) I think it’s cute that they still think it’s an asteroid that will take us out.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this canceled celebrity re-emerges with a lengthy apology

Chrissy Teigen says ‘I’m a troll and I’m so sorry’ in a lengthy Medium piece about her ‘VERY humbling few weeks.’ Last month Courtney Stodden, who at 16 married 50-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, went public with Teigen privately messaging her to kill herself years ago on social media. Teigen wrote, ‘I have to stop and wonder. How could I have done that?’ Funny how people only see the light once they’ve been caught. (Additional out) I’m assuming because you’re an entitled celebrity who never faced any consequences until now.

Tease: In _____ minutes, the best state to live in according to a new survey

New Jersey is America’s best state to live in according to WalletHub’s annual survey. The survey considers 52 metrics to determine the quality of life, education and health scores for each state. Massachusetts came in second followed by New York in third. Louisiana, Alaska and New Mexico came in last. Unfortunately, they didn’t look at the most important metric, which state is most likely to be your pretend Zoom background, or Hawaii would’ve won. (Additional out) So congrats New Jersey, Tony Soprano would be proud.

Phone Topic/Web Poll On the Keeping Up With the Kardashians series finale Kim revealed one of the real reasons behind her and Kanye’s demise, the fact that they didn’t like the same TV shows. When talking about their 7-year relationship Kim Kardashian spoke about the little things saying she wants someone that has ‘the same shows in common.’ What do you think, is it a deal breaker if someone doesn’t like the same TV shows as you?
