Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, how much of a ransom a major meat processor paid to hackers

The world’s biggest meat processor paid 11 million in ransom to hackers. The Brazilian based JBS paid the hefty ransom in bitcoin after a ransomware attack that likely came from Russia shut down their operations across the world. The cyberattack happened despite JBS spending more than $200 million per year on IT and employing more than 850 tech specialists. I’m assuming all of which are updating their resumes. (Additional Out) That’s it Russia, you’ve officially gone too far when you start effecting the price of my cheeseburger.

Tease: In ______ minutes, Biden revokes a Trump era order targeting these social platforms

President Biden revoked Trump’s executive orders targeting TikTok and WeChat and issued a fresh order. The new order issued yesterday aims at protecting American’s personal data on apps linked to foreign adversaries, including China, and orders the Commerce Department to develop criteria for assessing national security risks associated with these apps. I’m just impressed that at 78, Biden even knows what TikTok is. (Additional Out) So despite the fact that they pronounce it differently, Biden shares Trumps concerns on China.

Tease: Coming up at _____, how much Mayweather and Paul made off last weekend’s fight

Floyd Mayweather likely made $35 million, while Logan Paul made $5 million, off of pay per view sales and guarantees for their fight last weekend. In total they sold at least one million $50 pay per views on Showtime and Fanmio, grossing $50 mil. Mayweather and Paul’s cut of those views and their guarantees made for the hefty payday. Plus, according to Mayweather he made an extra $30 million from sponsorships leading up to the fight. Not bad for putting on one of the worst boxing matches I’ve ever seen. (Additional out) So unfortunately, when that kind of money is being made, there’s always a sequel.

Tease: In _____ minutes, this iconic 1996 comedy is getting a sequel

The Farrely brothers are making a Kingpin sequel. Nearly 25 years after the original hit theaters, Peter and Bobby Farrelly are developing a follow-up to the classic bowling comedy. Whether Harrelson, Quaid, Angel or Murray will return for the follow up remains to be seen. I certainly hope so, you gotta have Munson and McCraken. (Additional out) Hopefully it’s better than their Dumb and Dumber sequels.
