Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, a grim warning and a glimmer of hope from Fauci

Dr. Fauci says the US could see ‘further suffering and death’ if coronavirus isn’t controlled. But, he added, ‘There are things we can do right now in the absence of a vaccine that can turn us around.’ Namely 100% of people wearing masks and limiting gatherings. The US has reported over 4.29 million cases adding another 56,336 yesterday, Trump National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien has tested positive, and the first phase 3 clinical trial of a Covid-19 vaccine in the US has started. Plus, I’ve entered phase 3 of my shut-in social awkwardness where I start having full conversations with my cats. (Additional out) Good news for us and the Chinese hackers who will steal the research.

Tease: In ___ minutes, some more dirt from the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial

Amber heard read an intense private email draft to Johnny Depp in the closing argument of their libel trial. In it she called the movie star a ‘Needy man child’ who often pooped himself during benders. Previously, Depp had listed Amber pulling a prank where she pooped in their bed as one of the factors leading to their divorce. Apparently poop played a big role in their demise. (Additional out) Is it just me or do they kind of sound like they were meant for each other.

Tease: Coming up at ____, why states are warning people about suspicious packages of seeds in the mail

If you get an unsolicited package of seeds in the mail don’t plant them. States are warning people about suspicious packages of seeds that appear to be from China. The packages typically have Chinese characters on the label and contain a sealed packet of unknown seeds that some state agricultural departments say could be invasive plant species. Finally, my inability to garden has an upside. (Additional Out) Hey, these aren't the seeds I got drunk and ordered.

Tease: Could another stimulus check be coming? I’ll tell you more in _____ minutes

If approved the latest Covid relief plan from Senate Replublican members will include another round of $1,200 stimulus checks. The one-trillion dollar relief package revealed yesterday also includes $16 billion in new Covid testing funds, $105 billion for schools, another wave of PPP loans for businesses, and a five year protection to private businesses from coronavirus related lawsuits. They’re calling it the ‘Better late than never act of 2020.’ (Additional Out) The key words there are of course, ‘If approved.’

Phone Topic/Web Poll: It took just three games for an outbreak to occur in the MLB. Yesterday the Miami Marlins had to cancel their season opener against the Baltimore Orioles because ten players and two coaches tested positive for Covid-19. Plus, multiple sources claim that several Marlin players tested positive prior to Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, yet the game was still played. The MLB Commissioner’s office plans to redouble health directives and has not considered cancelling the season. But what do you think, should the MLB cancel their season?

5 Things You Need to Know

1) Dr. Meanwhile, I’ve entered phase 3 of my shut-in social awkwardness where I start having full conversations with my cats.

2) Amber heard read an intense private email draft to Johnny Depp in the closing argument of their libel trial. In it she called the movie star a ‘Needy man child’ who often pooped himself during benders. Previously, Depp had listed Amber pulling a prank where she pooped in their bed as one of the factors leading to their divorce. Apparently poop played a big role in their demise.

3) If you get an unsolicited package of seeds in the mail don’t plant them. States are warning people about suspicious packages of seeds that appear to be from China. The packages typically have Chinese characters on the label and contain a sealed packet of unknown seeds that some state agricultural departments say could be invasive plant species. Finally, my inability to garden has an upside.

4) If approved the latest Covid relief plan from Senate Replublican members will include another round of $1,200 stimulus checks. The one-trillion dollar relief package revealed yesterday also includes $16 billion in new Covid testing funds, $105 billion for schools, another wave of PPP loans for businesses, and a five year protection to private businesses from coronavirus related lawsuits. They’re calling it the ‘Better late than never act of 2020.’

5) A Florida man drove with a lit candle and set his car on fire. After the lit fragrant candle tipped over in the vehicle, he stopped to fill a trashcan with water, but the flames engulfed the car. Crews responded to put out the blaze and nobody was injured. Authorities sadly had to remind everyone to never drive with an open candle lit. Hopefully his insurance policy covers blatant stupidity.
