52 people were arrested for storming the Capitol yesterday after a crowd of Trump supporters overwhelmed Capitol police. One woman died after being shot and three others died following medical emergencies during the riot. Afterwards the House and Senate returned to the capitol and worked through the night to confirm Joe Biden’s Electoral College win. All four living Presidents and leaders from around the world condemned the capitol breach. Turns out there’s a downside to spreading misinformation. (Additional out) So 2021 was fun for six days, we’re counting on you 2022.

We now have 52 confirmed cases of the UK variant in the US. In total 253,145 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday. In an open letter to Biden, a group of US physicians urged his incoming administration to manufacture and mail high-filtration masks to homes across America. So far 5.3 million vaccine shots have been administered in the US. As “Operation Eventually” continues. (Additional Out) Hopefully they hurry up because I’m getting tired of smelling my own breath eight hours a day.

Facebook and Instagram followed Twitter’s lead temporarily blocking Trump from posting. Yesterday Twitter suspended the President’s account from posting for 12 hours. Facebook and Instagram quickly followed suit for a full 24 hours. The social networks cited their platform’s Civic Integrity policy and his false claims about election results. No word from MySpace. (Additional out) As Big Tech continues to say “Our bad you guys.”

A Texas woman jumped on the hood of a moving car to save a stolen bulldog. Alize James was working at a pet store in Harris County Texas when she was approached by a couple looking to purchase a $10,000 bulldog. When she turned around, the couple took off with the dog and she jumped into action, diving onto the hood of their and riding for ten minutes to save the stolen puppy. Hopefully they give her a raise and a psych evaluation. (Additional out) Roughly nine and a half minutes longer than I would have lasted.  

Phone Topic/Web Poll: Oreo just announced they are releasing a strawberry frosted donut flavor in March. The new cookies will be filled with two layers of crème filling, one with rainbow sprinkles.
