Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, when we’ll see the first results from today’s crucial Georgia Senate races

The first polls close at 7pm Eastern Time tonight in the Georgia Senate race the entire country is watching. If Republicans win one of the two races then Mitch McConnell will keep control of the Senate, Democrats need both for Chuck Schumer to take over and give the Democrats the House, the Senate and the White House. Most polls show the Democratic candidates to have a slight lead, but essentially it’s a tossup. Because none of us trust polls anymore after they’ve been way off for the past two major elections. (Additional out) So tune into the news tonight to see seven hours of speculating that culminates in “it’s too close to call.”

Tease: In ______ minutes, McDonald’s fires the next shot in the Chicken Sandwich Wars

McDonald’s launches an offensive in the Chicken Sandwich Wars with three new sandwiches. The new menu items include the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, topped with pickles and served on a potato roll, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which adds spicy pepper sauce and the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, which comes with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. They’ll all be available nationally on February 24th. Then trashed on the internet on February 25th. (Additional out) For us all to try once before going back into our Chick-Fil-A and Popeye’s corners.

Tease: Coming up at _____, the US county where 1 in 5 people tested are showing up positive

In Los Angeles County, 1 out of 5 people tested for Covid-19 are positive. Hospital beds in the county are now critically scarce. Elsewhere much of Europe is locking down, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson imposed a harsh lockdown across England that will last through the middle of February, Italy also imposed new lockdowns and Germany is considering extending restrictions. So far January is looking more like it belongs in 2020 than 2021. (Additional out) As our hangover from the longest year ever continues.

Tease: In _____ minutes, the star who helped keep Harry and Olivia’s romance a secret

TV host James Corden helped Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde keep their new romance a secret. The couple spent time alone together at Corden’s nearby house while filming a movie together in Palm Springs. Yesterday news broke of the new celebrity couple after pictures emerged of the two holding hands at a wedding over the weekend. Their romance is so new they don’t even have a terrible celebrity couple mashup name yet. (Additional Out) This further proves my theory that James Corden is the nicest guy in Hollywood.
