Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, another Trump call leaked

Yesterday the Washington Post published audio from a call President Trump had with Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger on Saturday where he told him to “find 11,780” votes to overturn the election results. The call has raised alarm bells with Democratic and Republican leaders and Carl Bernstein has called it ‘far worse than watergate.’ Never a good sign when it only takes a day for people to leak your phone calls. (Additional out) But it kind of loses its impact the fifth time you compare something the president has done to watergate.

Tease: In ______ minutes, who the oddsmakers favor in the national championship game

Alabama is favored by a touchdown over Ohio State in the College Football National Championship game. The Crimson Tide beat Notre Dame Friday and Ohio State defeated number two Clemson in the Sugar Bowl to advance to the big game. The College Football national championship game is scheduled for January 11th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Ohio State has proved once again that anything is possible provided you’re overwhelmingly favored by the selection committee. (Additional out) Spoiler alert, the guy from that terrible Aflac commercial will win his eighth national championship.

Tease: Coming up at _____, a court has ruled this guy can't be extradited

A British court ruled against a US request to extradite Julian Assange to America. The 49-year-old Wikileaks founder has been charged in the US under the Espionage Act for his role in publishing classified military and diplomatic cables. The British judge who ruled in his favor called the extradition request ‘oppressive’ by reason of Assange’s mental health. Which is lucky for him because he doesn’t look like he’d fare well in an American prison. (Additional out) I’m assuming it’s retribution for us sending back Piers Morgan.

Tease: In _____ minutes, where a 4 bedroom/2 bath/7 jail cell home is up for sale

A home with seven fully functional jail cells has hit the market in Vermont. The home located in Guildhall, Vermont served as the Essex County Jail back in the late 60s. So, the four bedroom, two bath home comes with seven jail cells complete with barred windows. They’re asking $149,000 for it. A small price to pay to make your friends and family think you’re into some seriously kinky stuff. (Additional Out) Something tells me they should probably run a background check on anyone who makes an offer on it.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: NBC’s Chris Collinsworth ripped into the Eagles on National TV last night for openly tanking against Washington to get a better draft pick. In the middle of a competitive game head coach Doug Pederson took out QB Jalen Hurts and put in the 3rd string QB Nate Sudfeld, who immediately struggled. Giants fans were especially enraged because a Philly win would’ve sent them to the playoffs. What do you think, should the NFL punish the Eagles for tanking?

Contest Tease: Coming up at _____________, how many of these are in this world record holder? The correct answer wins ________.

[Contest setup] A quarter pound diamond that takes up half the wearer’s hand has broken the Guinness World Record for the number of diamonds on a ring. How many diamonds are on the record breaking ring?

A: 1,263

B: 12,638

C: 126,382

Answer: B, the over the top ring named the Marigold, or “The Ring of Prosperity”, has 12,638 diamonds on it. I just feel sorry for the guy who drew the short straw at Guinness and had to count them.

[DIY Feature] Name that Movie Monday: I’ll give you a clue and play a short clip, the first person to call in and correctly identify the movie wins ________. If no one gets it I’ll move on to another clue and a slightly longer clip.

Clue #1: Set in 1880 Arizona

Clue #2: Wyatt Earp

Clue #3: Val Kilmer steals the show

Answer: Tombstone
