Tease: Coming up in ___________ minutes, support for impeachment grows in the GOP

Several Republicans say they will join House Democrats in impeaching Trump, a vote that will likely happen today. For the first time there are also signs that Trump’s power base in the Senate is fraying. Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told associates that Trump had committed impeachable offenses and he was pleased that Democrats are moving to impeach him. Which is great news or fake news depending on which network you watch. (Additional out) Apparently Emperor Palpatine does have a conscience.

Tease: In ______ minutes, a new smart face mask

Razer has created a reusable face mask with a medical grade respirator and a built-in microphone and amplifier. The mask dubbed Project Hazel is currently a concept and not available to buy yet. In a press release gaming equipment maker Razer said it created the smart mask to address ‘the environmental issues of disposable masks, while enhancing the features of a multi-use personal protective covering.” Hello, I’m Doctor Darth Vader and I’ll be taking care of you today. (Additional out) It kind of looks like what Bane would wear during a pandemic.

Tease: Coming up at _____, this guy is one guess away from losing $220 million

This might be the most stressful story I’ve heard in years. Stefan Thomas has two guesses left to remember an old password or he loses $220 million. The San Francisco programmer was an early investor in Bitcoin but he failed to write down his password. He has ten chances to try an incorrect password before he’s permanently locked out of his digital wallet and he’s used eight so far. Guess I’m not dumb for using 1234 for everything after all. (Additional Out) It’s like a terrible game show where you try to win your own money back before it’s blasted off into cyberspace.

Tease: In _____ minutes, the charges filed against Capitol rioters

The DOJ will charge some of the Capitol rioters with sedition and conspiracy, crimes that could result in up to 20 years in prison. During a DOJ press conference yesterday Officials announced that they have charged over 70 cases related to the riot so far. The acting US attorney in Washington said the scope of the crimes were “mind blowing.” Yet another reason you shouldn’t live stream your crime. (Additional out) Unless you've seen any of the footage.

Phone Topic/Web Poll: The CIA has declassified 2 million pages of ‘Black Vault’ documents about UFOs and made them available online. The massive document release came months before the Pentagon was due to brief Congress on all they know about UFOs because of an odd stipulation in the latest Covid relief bill. What do you think, has the government been hiding evidence of UFO encounters and alien existence from us for years?
